Taher Nikkhah Abyaneh is an Iranian artist born in Tehran in 1974.

 

He began his artistic career in Iran at Azad University of Art in Tehran improving his artistic career in the Brera Academy in Milan, where he specialized in Visual Arts and Sculpture.

 

He was actively involved in the art scene in his hometown, Tehran, and in the Italian one.

 

Taher's practice incorporates various media and materials including sculpture, performance, video art, painting, engraving, installation and site specific projects.

His research is "Semiotics of symbols and images of Persian mysticism once censored by government culture", developed using different languages of contemporary art such as sculpture and installation.
He taught for 9 years as a professor at the University of Art "Teheran, Elmi karbordi".

 

He currently lives and works in Milan.
